Fashion model Maria Palm debuts in the new Danish film - The Model!
The Danish top model Maria Palm has these days his acting debut in the film director Mads Matthiesen's new film THE MODEL.
Filming has just started and will continue for seven weeks in the metropolises of Paris and
Warsaw. The film is expected to premiere in spring 2015.
In THE MODEL Mary must play opposite British actor Ed Skrein, best known for
his role in the TV series Game of Thrones.
THE MODEL is about the young Danish fashion model Emma (Maria Palm) struggling
for the major breakthrough in the Parisian fashion world.
Her journey to the fashion center of the world, Paris and the glamorous life as a model developer
However, a true drama, when Emma meets the attractive and somewhat older fashion photographer
Shane (Ed Skrein). Emma becomes stormy love, and with Shane at his side begins
fashion's doors open up to her.
But soon discovers Emma that love also has sinister facets, and her dreams
are challenged by both Shane and an unexpected dark side of herself.
Danish beauty plays against British charmer
The filmmakers casted after starring as Emma in eight months among 60-70 Danish
models before they chose Maria Palm. Mads Matthiesen says:
"It was from the beginning very important for me to find our leading role among real models.
I have in my latest film primarily work with amateurs or first-time actors in
the major roles and I would like to continue the relationship with Emma.
We have over eight months cast among 60-70 of the best Danish models. first
we saw Maria for casting in New York, where she worked at the time I could with the
same brand that she was present in the role and her presence burned through.
We continued with a wide range of castings and workshops in Denmark and it became more and
more clear to me that Mary was perfectly ideal match for the role of Emma when she
imparts a great sensitivity and a great presence to the role. "
Maria Palm (20) has made
campaigns include Marc by Marc Jacobs, J. Crew, Diesel, YSL, H & M, Zara and
L'Oreal. Maria has done editorials for some of the world's most prestigious magazines including
Vogue, ELLE, Harper's Bazaar and L'Officiel.
Maria Palm will play against the charming British actor Ed Skrein,
which is best known for his role as Daario Naharis in HBO's blockbuster series Game of Thrones, and
who has just completed her starring role in the action movie The Transporter Legacy (premiere
spring 2015)
